Our knowledgeable staff will help you examine career options, identify learning opportunities, and navigate the job search.

Our career services team provides:

  • Writing guidance for resumés and cover letters
  • Interview prep
  • Workshops and one-on-one advising to prepare students in the search for jobs, practicums, internships, and experiential learning opportunities
  • Opportunities to hear from working professionals in information fields

My advice to current students is to gain practical experience. Look for internships, part-time jobs, or personal projects that allow you to apply your knowledge and develop hands-on skills. Develop versatile soft skills. Strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and customer service skills are just as important as technical expertise.
